Ninna Nanna bed and breakfast is in Buscoldo di Curtatone, a small village in the province of Mantova, Lombardy, in northern Italy. We sit in the open countryside just south-west of Mantua: close enough to reach the historic centre in minutes, far enough to guarantee silent nights and starry skies.
Getting Here by Car
Ninna Nanna is about a 5 minute drive from the historic city centre of Mantua. The best motorway exit is Mantova Sud on the A22 Modena–Brennero motorway; the Mantova Nord exit also works well. Once in Buscoldo, the B&B is easy to find and offers free private parking — a real advantage, since Mantua's city centre is a restricted traffic zone where visitors' cars risk fines.

Arriving by Plane
The closest airport is Verona Villafranca international airport, about 30 km away. The airports of Bergamo and Brescia are also within practical reach, making the B&B easy to combine with low-cost flights from across Europe. Airport transfer can be arranged on request — just mention your flight details when you book.
Arriving by Train or Bus
If you prefer to arrive in Mantua by train, we can arrange a shuttle service to and from the city on request. Alternatively, right in front of the B&B there is a convenient urban bus stop: line 6 links Buscoldo to Mantua at every hour of the day, so you can leave the car parked and reach the centre without any stress.
Exploring the Region
The location is one of the best reasons to stay with us. Mantua and its Renaissance palaces are minutes away; Lake Garda, Italy's largest lake, is just 25 km from the door, with its lakeside villages, beaches and water sports; and Verona, the city of the Roman Arena and of Romeo and Juliet, is about 30 km away. The rivers Mincio, Oglio and Po shape the countryside around us, with embankment roads loved by cyclists, and the UNESCO town of Sabbioneta and the abbey village of San Benedetto Po are easy half-day trips.
Practical Tips
If you plan a full Mantua day, leave the car at the B&B and take the bus: you avoid the restricted traffic zone entirely. For Lake Garda, set off early in summer — the lakeside roads fill up by mid-morning. And if you arrive late in the evening, no problem: every room has its own private entrance, so check-in stays flexible.
